Puy Lentils with Aubergine, Tomatoes & Yoghurt.

I didn't love this dish. Firstly cooking the eggplants in the oven- I miscalculated & they were still solid. My mistake, I was trying to cook them whilst I had something else in there & got the timing wrong. I ended up cooking them over the gas flame on top of the stove as is suggested in the introduction to this recipe & it was so easy & quick. I did use foil to stop the mess. Their subsequent delicious smoky flavour was the best part of this dish. Maybe I under-cooked the lentils? But I found the overall effect rather bland. Not one to add to my recipe repertoire.
